Take a Covered Wagon Tour on The Rail Trail in the Grand Canyon
Two state parks comprise the PA Grand Canyon, Leonard Harrison State Park (East Rim) which is accessed from Rt 660 and Colton Point State Park (West Rim) which is accessed from Colton Rd.

The Rail Trail is open to anglers, hikers, bicyclists & the Covered Wagon Tours.

On the west rim Colton Point resonates with the rustic charm of the Civilian Conservation Corps era of the 1930s. The rugged overlooks offer great views of the canyon
The Log Cabin Inn and Canyon Cruises are the closest attractions to the guesthouse that we list as part of the Grand Canyon Region and are approximately, a 30 mile drive. While the Tioga Central Railroad, 53 miles away, is at the far end of the region.

Pine Creek parallels route six prior to entering the gorge and it is along this stretch where the ourtffers are located.

It is the host for the "Cherry Springs Star Party" and the "Black Forest Star Party". You must register for the Public stargazing events offered each weekend during the Summer.
Cherry Springs is a "Gold Level International Dark Sky Park" and one of the best places in the eastern United States for stargazing and the science of astronomy.

Visit the new Wildlife Center at Sinnemahoning and enjoy state-of-the-art interpretive wild life exhibits. Environmental education and interpretive programs including guided walks and evening programs are offered year round. Interpretive pontoon boat tours on the reservoir are available during the summer.




All to experience the habitat supports the American bald eagle, black bear, white-tailed deer, elk, otters and an outstanding variety of birdlife. The park has an inventory of kayaks, canoes and hybrid bikes for recreational use at no cost.

Visit the Elk Country Visitors Center and experience the Story Theater: Presenting a multimedia experience. Interpretive exhibits will immerse the visitor in the sights, sounds and smells of a mixed hardwood forest, the natural world of the elk and native wildlife and the heritage of the region.
